Background

CARE International in Uganda has developed the Integrated Business Services Model (IBSM), which affirms CARE Uganda’s vision and value proposition in localisation both in development and humanitarian-nexus spheres.

The model aligns with CARE’s global programming principles of working with others to maximise the impact of our programs; building alliances and partnerships with those who offer complementary approaches, are able to adopt effective programming approaches, and/or have responsibility to uphold rights and reduce poverty through policy change and implementation. CARE is committed to working in ways that support and strengthen existing knowledge and capacities, rather than replacing them.
