2022 Commemoration of 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence
Introduction
The Global 16 Days of Activism (16D0A) Against Gender-based violence is an international campaign originating from the first women’s global leadership institute in 1991.
The campain is an avenue for raising awareness of violence against women and girls. It runs from 25th November (International Day of Eliminating all forms of violence) to 10th December (International Human Rights Day). In Uganda, the 2022 national campaign was held under the theme: “UNITE! Activism to end violence against women and girls”. CARE International in Uganda, participated in several activities at both the national and district levels.
